Inclusion Questions

As per Recommendation 5 of the Challenges Faced by Racialized Licensees Working Group Final Report (“Working Together for Change: Strategies to Address Issues of Systemic Racism in the Legal Professions”), licensees will be asked to complete voluntary inclusion questions about their legal workplace in their Annual Reports once every four years beginning with the 2018 Annual Report.

The answers to these questions will help the Law Society to better understand demographic trends, to develop programs and initiatives in accordance with its mandate and to promote equality and diversity in the professions.

The Law Society will compile the results and in legal workplaces of 25 licensees or more a summary of the information gathered will be provided to the workplace. The results of the inclusion questions will also be considered in the ranking provided in the inclusion index.
A preview of the inclusion questions is available here. More information about the inclusion index is available here.
