Biographical Sketch
Benjamin Luxenberg was born on September 24th, 1897, in New York City. He was admitted to Osgoode Hall Law School in 1913. After articling with Alan F. Aylesworth in Toronto, he was called to the Bar in 1920. Luxenberg was appointed a King's Counsel in 1935. Luxenberg practised law in Toronto, Ontario, specializing in bankruptcy law. In 1990, Luxenberg was awarded the Law Society Medal for his contributions to the Ontario legal profession. Benjamin Luxenberg died on May 31st, 1993.
 
Scope and Content
Collection consists of legal documents accumulated by Benjamin Luxenberg, Q.C. The deeds and mortgages all relate to a parcel of land at lot 99 on the north side of Defoe Street (now Adelaide Street West), Toronto.
