Biographical Sketch
Edward Gordon McMillan (commonly known as Gordon McMillan) was born on November 7th, 1888. He attained a BA degree at the University of Toronto in 1909 before entering Osgoode Hall Law School the same year. He was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1912. McMillan spent most of his legal career at what would become McMillan Binch, a business law firm, practising law there from 1921 up until the 1970s. McMillan died on March 30th, 1979.
 
Scope and Content
Fonds consists of case books created and maintained by Edward Gordon McMillan in his capacity as a lawyer and partner in the law firm of McMillan, Binch. The legal cases and decisions cited in these books date from 1904 to 1964, and are compiled in ten alphabetized volumes.

Series consists of ten handwritten legal case books compiled and used by Edward Gordon McMillan. Volumes are ordered alphabetically according to these areas of law, and cases within each area of law are listed in chronological order.
