Biographical Sketch
H. Donald Guthrie (1929-2019) graduated from the University of Toronto in 1950, and was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1954. Guthrie was appointed a Queen's Counsel in 1968. In 1995, he was awarded the Law Society Medal by The Law Society of Upper Canada. Guthrie served on several boards, including the Royal Ontario Museum, the Canada Council, and the Canadian National Railway.

Fonds consists of records maintained by H. Donald Guthrie. The records pertain to the Guthrie family and the history of the Cassels Brock law firm. Included in the fonds are correspondence, memoranda, firm histories, and a newsletter.
