Biographical Sketch
Kenneth Phillips Jarvis was born on December 25th, 1926. After attending Osgoode Hall Law School, he was called to the Bar in 1956. His association with the Law Society of Upper Canada continued when he served as Deputy Secretary from 1 June 1958 to 1966, Secretary from 1966 to 1987, and then as Under-Treasurer in 1988. In addition to his legal work, Jarvis was a well-respected artist and sculptor. He was a member and president of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts and created a number of sculptures of prominent legal figures. Kenneth Phillips Jarvis died on September 8th, 2007, in Millbrook, Ontario.
