Biographical Sketch
William Folger Nickle was born on December 31st, 1869, in Kingston, Ontario. He graduated from Queen's University with a BA degree in 1892 and was admitted to Osgoode Hall Law School that same year. He was called to the Bar in 1895. Nickle's legal career included a term as a Law Society bencher from 1922 to 1923 and a partner in the law firm of Nickle and Farrell, in Kingston. He also was actively involved in politics, both federally and provincially, serving as provincial Member of Parliament from 1909 to 1911 and 1922 to 1926, federal Member of Parliament from 1911 to 1919, and as Attorney General of Ontario from 1923 to 1926. Nickle died on November 15th, 1957, in Kingston, Ontario.

Collection consists of a deed pertaining to property dealings of Sir John A. Macdonald.
