Lawyers and paralegals can access the 2017 Lawyer Annual Report and Paralegal Annual Report through the Law Society Portal. The deadline to file is March 31.

Convocation

Last day to enrol in Annual Pre-Authorized Payment Plan (Annual PAP) for annual fee. New this year, licensees registering for the Annual PAP will be eligible for a discount of up to $50 on their 2018 annual fee. The discount will be pro-rated according to the licensee's fee category. Register for the Annual PAP via your Law Society Portal account. There is no administration fee for this payment option.

2017 Affiliation Report due.

2017 Multi-Discipline Partnership Report due.

Certified Specialist annual fee and annual certification report due. Failure to submit report and payment by this date will result in revocation of certification.

Law Society Referral Service subscription fees due.

LAWPRO 2017 Fourth Quarter Real Estate and Civil Litigation Levy Surcharge filings and applicable payments due.

February 2018

Annual Pre-Authorized Payment Plan (Annual PAP) withdrawal date.

LAWPRO Lump Sum Payment Discount Deadline. Full payment of the 2018 premium by cheque or pre-authorized lump sum payment dated and received on or before this date will qualify for a $50 per lawyer discount.

Last day to enrol in Monthly Pre-Authorized Payment Plan (Monthly PAP) for annual fee. There is an $80 (including HST) administration fee for this payment option.

Final date to pay Annual Fees. Failure to pay fees will result in a $150 late fee on or about this date and referral for suspension. (Not applicable to licensees enrolled in the Pre-Authorized Payment Plan.)

First Monthly Pre-Authorized Payment Plan withdrawal. Continues on the fifth business day of each month from April to December.

LAWPRO Risk Management Credit deadline. Complete the online declaration at www.lawpro.ca by this date to receive the Risk Management Credit on your 2019 insurance premium.

LAWPRO E-file Deadline. LAWPRO renewal applications for 2019 professional liability insurance must be e-filed on or before this date to be eligible for the $25 per lawyer e-filing discount (subject to Program approval by Convocation).

LAWPRO Final deadline to submit LAWPRO renewal application for 2019 professional liability insurance.

Failure to renew the Certificate of Authorization for a Professional Corporation by this date will result in expiry of Certificate.

Failure to renew the Canadian Legal Advisor Certificate by this date will result in expiry of Certificate.

Final date for lawyers and paralegals subject to the CPD Requirement to complete all required hours and record them on the Law Society Portal. Failure to complete and record CPD Hours will result in a $200 late fee on or about this date and referral for suspension.
