Access to Justice Week 2019

October 28, 2019, 10:00AM to November 01, 2019 5:00PM
Access to Justice Week 2019

The Action Group on Access to Justice kicks off its 4th annual Access to Justice Week on October 28 with five unique and compelling public sessions. This year’s theme is “deepening the A2J conversation.” Panel discussions and workshops will focus on Indigenous justice, returns on justice investments, working with self-represented litigants, data sharing and public legal education.

Participants can attend these free sessions in person, or view them via webcast. All of the events take place at the Law Society, at Osgoode Hall, 130 Queen St. West, Toronto, in the Upper and Lower Barristers’ Lounge, unless otherwise indicated.

Legal information pop-ups will also be held in local libraries on October 29th and 30th, giving members of the public an opportunity to connect and receive information from legal non-profit, government departments and community organizations.

Access to Justice Week 2019 will also see French language programs and workshops taking place across the province, thanks to the support of partners, including AJEFO and Ottawa University’s programme pratique du droit.

Photographs and video taken at this public event will be used in Law Society and partner organization print and online publications.
