2019 Bencher Election - Voting Guide now available

April 01, 2019

The Voting Guides for the 2019 Bencher Election are now available online, to enable voters to learn more about the candidates and their views.

All eligible voters will receive voting instructions and individual control numbers to log into and access the online and telephone voting systems. These will be supplied via email the week of April 15, 2019 by Computershare, the company hired by the Law Society to conduct the online election. This information will also appear in your Law Society Portal account.

Voting closes on April 30, 2019 at 5 pm EDT.

If on April 5, 2019 you are a lawyer or paralegal whose licence is not suspended, you are eligible to vote in the election.

IMPORTANT: To receive your voting instructions by email, the Law Society must have your unique email address on record. If you share an email address with others, your personal voting instructions will not be confidential. You can provide a new e-mail address or a change to your e-mail address though the LSO Portal.
